First: the goal and concept
For believing in the importance of the intellectual and cultural work. Starting from the fact that it is so crucial to find the societal structure in Iraq according to scientific rules and a methodology that are based upon findings of researchers and studies. For caring in the maintenance of the Iraqi memoirs and for conveying it properly to the upcoming generations without deformation and counterfeit, the Iraqi Centre for Information and Studies which founded according to the prospective of advancement and reconstruction.
Second: Name and Foundation
Name: the former name of the Center was Iraqi Information Bank, which was later changed to Iraqi Centre for Information and Studies.
Date of Foundation: 21/11/1991 is the startup date for the Center. That has been preceded by early signs and discussions for maturation completely.

Third: General Objectives
1. Enroot the Iraqi reality by its Political, economical, cultural, social and religious aspects, and contribute to the formulation of the movement of Iraq towards a better future.
2. Emphasis the originality of the national identity of Iraq in all its dimensions, by attempting at trespassing the narrow limits.
3. Documentation and recording events related to Iraq and its people without discrimination according to objective scientific basis.
